AIDA Courses

AIDA** Freediver

This course is for confident snorkelers who want to learn all the basic theory and techniques of Freediving.
The course includes:
-3 theory sessions during which you will learn the basics of Freediving physics and physiology; breathing for Freediving, how to prevent blackout and how to rescue a Freediver in trouble.
-1 breath-holding session during which you will practice breathing and relaxation techniques and
you will be able to extend your breath-hold times easily.
-1 dynamic apnea session during which you will practice horizontal swimming and learn how to
move efficiently.
-3 diving sessions during which you will practice equalizing, technique training, streamlining and
rescue procedures. At the end of the course you will be able to freedive comfortably to depths of
15/20 meters.
Course duration: 2.5 days
Prerequisites: 18 years of age (16 with guardian’s consent), be able to swim.
Price: 205 € (if single student 265 €). Manual, certification card and equipment are included in the course fee.

AIDA*** Freediver

This is and ntermediate course for freedivers who want to learn more advanced techniques and dive a bit deeper.
The course includes:
-3 theory sessions during which you will learn what happens to the body (and lungs) when the surrounding pressure becomes greater and how the body adapts to this (mammalian dive reflex); we will go deeper into equalization techniques and you will learn how to perform the Frenzel technique.
-2 pool sessions during which you will practice O2 and CO2 tables, learn training concepts for static and how to prepare a maximum attempt.
-4 diving sessions, during which we will refine your swimming technique and streamlining and you will practice free falling. You will learn how to perform Frenzel equalisation efficiently while freediving. We will also practice more rescue scenarios on the surface and at depth.At the end of the course you will be able to freedive comfortably to depths of 25/30 meters.
Course duration: 3 days
Prerequisites: AIDA** (or equivalent) and 18 years of age (16 with guardian’s consent).

AIDA**** Freediver

This is an advanced course for freedivers who want to go beyond recreational level. You will learn more advanced equalization techniques and more about how to stay fit for Freediving.
The course includes:
-3 theory sessions during which we go deep into all the theory regarding deep freediving and deep equalization technique. We speak about cross training and nutrition for freediving
-1 stretching session including: full body stretching and lung stretching (full lungs and empty lungs).
-2 pool sessions where you learn packing, coaching, and how to build an individual pool training session.
-5 dive sessions where the main focus is exhale diving and mouthfill equalizing. You will also do some variable weight diving during the course.
